The music lessons take place twice a week and have become an integral part of the village community. The participants slowly 'groove' and find more and more joy in learning and making music. To date, the school has twenty-eight beginners and ten advanced students, totalling thirty-eight students. There are seven girls among the pupils, six of whom...

The time has finally come. The music lessons have started. Every Sunday from 3 pm to 5 pm the 'beginners' are taught and every Wednesday from 6 pm to 7 pm the more experienced musicians. There are currently 4 music teachers and an instrument keeper from the village of Kusuntu.

The joy is great, the instruments have arrived. The village chief receives them in Lomé and immediately tests the trumpet. Now we can start planning and organising the preparation of the instruments and the music lessons. The instruments will be transported to Kusuntu in a fortnight' time.

A big thank you goes to the Jugendorchester Stadt Karlsruhe e.V., whose generous donation means that the village of Kusuntu is looking forward to receiving the instruments.
